The title of this book suggests smallness. Put that with “mind” and you get small-mindedness, which ain’t what it’s about. Rather, it presents a “program” or way of relating to the world that may enable one to stop worry, improve one’s mood, focus better, and master emotions. To offer all this is a tall promise, it seems to me. The author, “a registered social worker,” is not a psychiatrist or psychologist, but has practical experience dealing with folks who have problems, and offers a process to help accomplish the promised goals. The book lays out this process in a sort of “day by day” manner, though I don’t think days are meant to be taken literally, or necessarily done in the order presented. The process seems to comprise four categories: Self-assessment, Emotions, Mindfulness, and Priorities. Each category in turn includes certain actions. People spend years in analysis working on anxiety, mood, attention disorders, motivation, and the like, and I doubt that any book contains a do it yourself formula to fix what’s wrong. Skeptic that I am, I believe that this book contains much that will be useful if not taken too literally.Product details

The Minimalist Mind Stop Worry Improve Mood Focus Better Master Your Emotion David Winter 9781546670254 Books Reviews
A hat with a skirt. To be honest it is not attractive at all, but the material is great and it works as it said. The delivery was fast. I have no complaints, just that my husband did not like it. I will try to adapt the disign.
Such a very motivating book! I am always, always open to mental makeovers. I mean honestly, one makeover will last you a short time, but you need to constantly re-evaluate and re-invent yourself to really sustain happiness. I was so excited to read this book, as it is right up my alley. And, with the new year around the corner, I wanted to share it with others. Really worth recommending!
I . Really enjoyed reading this book and be able to learn ways on how to be mindfulness and how important it is to have good mental health
The book focuses on training your mind to go minimalist and provides you with a lengthy program which is bound to work. It gives you some very interesting tips regarding how to worry less and control your mood swings. I am still 3rd day into the program but I feel what the book can do and I am excited to complete the whole thing.
Minimalism is the future. We live now in a time period where everyone has so much stuff that is just not sustainable anymore. We need to get rid of the things we do not use anymore and only buy what we truly need. I can assure you that becoming a minimalist is not a scary thing. I've gotten rid of most of my stuff and never been happier. Thanks for sharing!
