Dreams, Book 1, an erotic supernatural fantasyEver wish that vampires were real? On a cold snowy night, college student Sara Siler makes that wish to her friend Eli Solomon. Dreams Dreams Series Volume 1 J A Brown Books

When I first started reading this, I was pleasantly surprised by the author's writing style. Eli's inner voice sucked me in immediately, and he and Sara were likeable characters.
But somewhere along the way, I was disappointed. The story - what little of it that there was - was completely taken over by the sex. One scene, after another, after another. I swear - some of the sex should have been implied. Less is more! I was skipping pages in the urge to find some semblance of a plot. Which was too bad, as what story bits I got were interesting, but not enough.
Another reviewer mentioned that there were no editing issues; there were a lot, actually. Typos where words were doubled, run-on sentences, and in some cases, sentences with too many commas, just to name a few.
As I have already bought the 2nd and 3rd book, I'll try to finish this. I'm hoping that it will get better. As it is, this is a weak 3 stars for me.

Dreams Dreams Series Volume 1 J A Brown Books Reviews

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I must confess it's probably not something I would have picked up on my own but I was reassured there was no sparkling Vampires in it. And I'm pleased to say there wasn't.

The story is about Sara Siler and her friend Eli Solomon. It is an erotic supernatural fantasy so you can imagine some of what comes next. It does however, also have a good story to it as well.

Interestingly the story is told from mainly Eli's point of view, but we do find out a few surprises about Sara. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the read and am looking forward to the next one.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book from new to me author JA Brown. I haven't been reading much paranormal lately and most have been shifter type books but my first PNR love has always been vampires. JA writes a story of wishes coming true, and love that can MAYBE surpass eternity. There is plenty of very steamy scenes. I love watching these two learn how to deal with the thoughts they never expected to have and how they learn about each other...and not just through sex but through true intimacy. It does end on a cliffhanger but I for one will be reading on to find out what happens next between Sara and Eli. I was given a copy by the author for an honest opinion!
Eli Solomon (4,000 yr. old vampire Commander Tennessee, Zone 3) wished Sara Siler NYU psychology student) a Merry Christmas.
They later became quite intimate.
Eli introduced Sara to Malik (NYC vampire Commander) & Brandon (NY vampire Regent).
Barclay FL. Montrose dance club.
Where will Eli & Sara’s lives end up?

Warning This book contains extremely graphic adult content, violence, or expletive language &/or uncensored sexually explicit material which is only suitable for mature readers. It may be offensive to some readers.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A fairly well written erotic vampire book. It wasn’t always very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish, but never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great erotic vampire movie, or better yet a paid-per-view mini TV series. To be continued. Not enough story content for me. That said I will only rate it at 3/5 stars.

Thank you for the free; love vampire; Author; PDF book

Dreams is the perfect weekend read with romance, finding true love, and vampire's added to the mix. I don't often review paranormal books, but I wanted to share with you Dreams by J.A. Brown. It's her debut novel in what looks to be four books in the series. Although there were a few mistakes here and there, it shows excellent writing and promise for a fantastic series.

Dreams starts off with Sara Siler and Eli Solomon sitting in her dorm room after they have both won a dance competition in which they won ten thousand dollars. Sara had been celebrating their win when Eli heard something he never thought he'd hear.

I wish vampires were real."
Dreams is told from Eli's point of view which I loved. From his view we watch as a vampire falls in love for the first time while he is on his year-long sabbatical. The only problem is that his time is almost up, and he must return to his regular life of being a Commander in just a few short days. Is it worth falling for the extraordinary woman who has enchanted him and will likely leave a hole in his existence, will he walk away never to look back, or give in for one night taking the memories from her in the end?

Eli cannot help himself. He's never felt as alive as he does with in his extremely long life even though he knows that by bringing her into his world it will turn hers upside down and bring along dangers which she has no idea of. He has wanted her from the moment his eyes fell upon her.

Was this why I was made? To come to this time, and find her here?"
Sara is amazing with her acceptance of Eli, but that is to be expected when all her life she had wished for dark creatures of the night to exist. What was spectacular was that she always seemed to know what Eli wanted, needed or was feeling. For all of her past, she was open and beyond loving.

“I want something... extraordinary. I want a lover who is more than just a man. I want a lover who can show me things that no one else has or can. I want him to fly me away, and love me all night. I want to be the one who tames the savage beast inside him, the only one who can.”
When Eli's time in New York ends, he must travel back to Tennessee to ask to be released from his contract. Although they don't want to be apart, they must be for Sara's safety.

As the story started to end, my anxiety ratcheted up as I prepared for a cliffhanger. I had no idea how or what was going to happen, but I knew the book wouldn't end on sunshine and rainbows or moonlight and shooting stars as would be befitting for vampires. The book ended with a doozy of a cliffhanger leaving me with many questions as to how and what happened.

J.A. Brown gives us a sneak peek into the second book in the series, Nightmares, showing us that Sara and Eli's lives are befitting the title of the book, and it will be a bumpy ride to give them their happily ever after.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. From the very beginning, I was sucked in and brought into this new world with a sweet, sexy vampire who I couldn't wait to get to know and a girl who had dreamed for the impossible and finally got it.
Love it
